So what happened?

So my blog jumps 2 years. :) Everything was going great and suddenly found out we were pregnant again. Though we love our son. This was completely unexpected and everything in our life went on hold. We had to relocate buy a van save a bunch of money for my leave. Needless to say it was hard times. I never did open that store. There is sits empty all my merchandise has been sold to friends or given as gift. I actually didn't really craft for almost 6 months. Exhausted being pregnant and all. So I'm back now ready to share my ideas I may not open a store. But I might inspire someone to crafts something which is nice. My YouTube channel Is doing great btw you should check it out. Below I will post several pictures just as an update on all I have done in the past couple of years. Thanks for reading! Hope you have a fun day.

Five days!

Five more days until I open my shoppe. All I have to do is spend an afternoon taking some pictures and I am done.

So I have pretty much given up on UTEE for now. I keep looking at it thinking I have not idea what to do with that stuff, that I can't already do. Hopefully it'll come in handy later. So I am slowly transitioning into metal work. Of course I still am completely in love with polymer clay, but it is hard to get adult jewelry out of it. Not that it is all for kids. I myself love wearing some Hello kitty earrings sometimes. I don't have a picture but I have set up a space for soldering and annealing workbench. I want to get into PMC(precious metal clay) once I get use to using my torch One might wonder how I do it lol . I'm always on to new crafts. How can I afford it? Truth is I think of the craft way ahead of time and very slowly collect each piece. It really helps that I can use coupons through my smart phone for places like Micheal's and Joannes.

So here are my new projects. I was in the mood for wire. I first started using wire over a year ago but I think I was a little too ambitious when I first got my wire. I made some things and I as proud but a little discouraged because they were not as nice as I wanted them to be. So over a year later after much messing around. I wanted to make something sell worthy.

I am also working on turning a quarter into a ring. Not for sale but just because I can and I think it would be neat to show people :D. I had the idea that when me and my partner tied the knot it would be nice to have rings that I made would be very special.

My next project
I want to do this
So have a happy crafty week :) You can visit my severely neglected  Youtube channel lol or come on over to my shoppe on Nov. 1st 2012 and see what I have for sale. http://www.etsy.com/people/lovelyKrafts?ref=si_pr

It's all coming together

So here is my craft area. I have made some improvements since this picture but it is mostly the same. I know it looks like absolute chaos but it's not, every thing has it's place.

Today I was so inspired by my black lacy necklace that I decided to work on a long put off project. I know that Rainbow cake charms are a dime a dozen and that's pretty much why I kept putting it off. Finally my mind just clicked on a design that would allow me top make one of those lovely rainbow cakes while at the same time being original. So the cake is done and turned out so cute. Btw this took me hours they seem so simple but really its not lol. Not if you want it cute. The second part and I don't have a picture of this because it's not done yet is a pretty pink lacy chain that can go around the wrist three times and another charm that says cake. All of these things together I think will look very nice. Don't forget to check this chick out she knows what she's doing :D  Craftywitch And have a great day.

Well I have been going strong with the crafting. I recently played around with some UTEE(ultra thick embossing enamel) but have yet to make anything I like. I think lack of a proper melting pot is holding me back. Also I have noticed UTEE is a lot more expensive than resin. I have yet to discover the benefits of using it instead of resin other than time, and even that's a hindrance most of the time (no time to embed objects). I tried it as a glaze and that turned out pretty awful. I guess I'm patient because I don't mind waiting on resin to cure. I'm not yet done with the UTEE.

My friend Jess came to visit me a couple days ago. She is also very crafty you should check out her blog if you like mine. http://craftywitchify.blogspot.com/
So she was showing me her awesomely crocheted bag. My brain went BOOM! :D
I know how to crochet. I have been trying for days to figure out the best way to make a choker in my style. I don’t like ribbon, I buy it and then just never use it. So anyway I found online how to crochet a necklace. It started out so simple and just got better and better. I am in absolute love with it and plan on making more.

I have also been learning how to stamp. I'm not so great yet lol. My letters kinda look like a five year old did them. http://craftywitchify.blogspot.com/ my Youtube and my Etsy Nov first opening day. http://www.etsy.com/people/lovelyKrafts?ref=si_pr

So what happens when some one asks me if I know how to make cameos. I couldn't stop thinking about it lol. So with some research here is what I have done. These where really fun to make. I plan on doing more. I also think it would be cool to make one with a lady zombie for the holiday coming up.

I also did these glass crystals. At first thought I would make pendants but now I'm not sure. I don't like the look of a simple wire wrapped stone. I will probably put them in a bezel. I didn't want to forget to include a picture of my rice pendant I made.

Check out these faux opals. I have just about got it right. These are basically my fails. Too much and too little white the next will be perfect. I used confetti in resin. I think they will look great on a ring. Don't forget to follow me on Etsy and Youtube. Have a fun day :D

I know I have been absent for a while. I recently broke my computer. It is in the shop now getting fixed. Right before I broke it I decided to set a day to open my shop. I have decided that November 1st will be the day. Many of my friends have shown interest, I hope I don't disappoint anyone.

So moving on I have been up to a lot this past week and a half without my precious laptop. Macrame, Hemp, Waxed Linen are just a few. I think I may have said it but I bounce around lol . My next project is a large faux opal pendant. It's going to beautiful. I have also been working on some pretty cool Steam punk stuff.

I really need to make video for my Youtube channel. It's hard being original most of my ideas have already been thought of and there are excellent tutorials out there for the subject. I think maybe a decoupage Pendant tutorial would be fun to make.

A friend suggested I make some guy stuff since I have absolutely nothing for men. So I started making hemp jewelry. Turns out I am terrible at coming up with a design for a man bracelet lol I'm working on it. I managed to make a nice male type necklace. Bryan has been wearing it but I think it is a little thin for a man.

Please visit my Youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/LovelyKrafts?feature=mhee and Follow me on Etsy November 1st is the day :D be there. http://www.etsy.com/people/lovelyKrafts?ref=si_pr

So still working on my store :D and networking of course. It feels like a lot but once I do it I'm like dang that wasn't so bad. So I posted some of my creations on Pinterest. My Youtube channel hasn't been getting much interest. I think I will do another video soon. I have some projects I know I have never seen on Youtube so that will probably get me some more viewers. I love doing the Youtube videos.

So what did I do today you ask. Some really fun earrings. My attention span was all over the place today. late last night I desided to work on my wire wrapping. It's not perfect but I'm working on it.

I also made this Totoro a couple of weeks ago. Me and my kids really love the Studio Ghibli films.  I have tried to make him before but have always failed. I recently put a picture up on the wall behind my desk and boom suddenly I knew what to do. I guess I just needed a visual in order to get him right.

As always follow me on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/LovelyKrafts?feature=mheeand Etsy http://www.etsy.com/people/lovelyKrafts?ref=si_pr
